As soon as we got out of the car I saw this tiny little figure running towards us in the fading light. It was daughter's best school friend. For the rest of the night they were almost inseparable and when they were apart it wasn't to long before you could hear one of them calling for the other. Isn't it funny how she gets along so well with the one little girl she picked out of her who preschool class to ask to be friend and that they live down our road? I think it is wonderful.
I took my camera to try and get some photos but was pretty unsuccessful due to this little one who has decided that she does not like her photo taken (and I rarely even ask her pose as I prefer candid shots). Here she was covering her face.
And then there was this little man who was in a mood. This mood is frequenting quite regularly at the moment. It is a phase. I hope it is a quick one. It is not fun. And it is kind of embarrassing when you are in a big room full of people that you don't know. Or at school, or music group, or shopping, or the library.
It was a good night (even despite the mood). Now we just have to make more of an effort to make it to the Friday nights.
